OUR STORY

Our founder, a dedicated registered nurse in America, brings the soul of her Ethiopian upbringing to every bean. She honors her roots by sharing the healing warmth of her homeland.

We invite you to experience the warmth of our communal ceremonies and the rich heritage of Ethiopian coffee, crafted with care and served with pride.

The Sacred Ceremony

(1)

The ritual begins with the careful preparation of the traditional clay coffee pot, known as a jebena, which is heated over a charcoal fire to achieve the perfect temperature for the brewing process.

(2)

The roasted coffee beans are ground to a fine powder and mixed with hot water in a small copper kettle. This mixture is then poured into the jebena, creating the first, milky infusion of the ceremony.

(3)

The final stage involves the slow, deliberate pouring of the coffee into small cups, allowing the aromatic steam to fill the room and the rich, complex flavors to be savored in a moment of pure connection.
